We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Practice Manager to join our friendly team in Wickford. This opportunity has arisen due to a recent reshuffle, and we’re excited to welcome someone who can help us build on our strengths and support our continued growth.
Our surgery is partner-led, with just under 7,000 patients, and we pride ourselves on being approachable, supportive, and community-focused. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, and is confident leading a team within an NHS environment.
What the role involves
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice
- Supporting and leading our admin and clinical teams
- Managing HR, staff training, and development
- Ensuring compliance with CQC and NHS requirements
- Helping us meet QOF and Enhanced Service targets
- Working closely with our PCN, ICB, and other local partners
- Bringing fresh ideas to improve how we work and care for our patients
About you
- You must have NHS experience, ideally within primary care or a GP practice.
- You’ll be organised, approachable, and enjoy variety in your day. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a genuine commitment to high-quality patient care.
