Event Details

This CPD accredited course is an update for healthcare professionals who already perform and interpret spirometry.  It will include revision on performing the test and also the use of  FeNO (Fractional exhaled Nitric Oxide) as an objective test to assist the diagnosis of asthma and the use of peak flow monitoring for detecting airflow limitation in COPD during the COVID 19 pandemic. 

The training includes case studies for interpretation and diagnosis

Spirometry interpretation is usually carried out by doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners or advanced nurse practitioners.

This training can assist those wishing to go onto complete the assessment with the Association of Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP) and be added to the national register as recommended by NHS England although this is not mandatory.
