We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our friendly dispensary team within a busy General Practice.
The successful applicant will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 as a minimum, flexible, have a positive attitude, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, alongside a commitment to delivering an excellent standard of patient care. Applicants must also possess strong IT skills. You will be expected to work in a polite, confidential, and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times.
There is an expectation for the successful candidate to work additional hours when required and to be flexible with shifts in order to cover annual leave and planned absences.
Working Hours (28.5 hrs per week)
• Monday 8am – 6.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
• Wednesday 8am – 6.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
• Thursday 8am – 6.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
Previous General Practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense acute and repeat prescriptions in line with legal and practice requirements.
• Liaise with GPs, clinicians, pharmacies and other healthcare professionals regarding medication queries.
• Maintain accurate patient, prescription and stock records, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, recalls and controlled drugs in accordance with practice procedures.
• Work effectively as part of the wider practice team to provide a safe, efficient and patient-focused service.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.
