An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our friendly team as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for 27.5 hours a week over 3 days, ideally on a Monday, Thursday and Friday.

We are looking for a friendly, professional individual that strives to go the extra mile for their patients.

Main duties of the job

  • To carry out clinical nursing practice at an advanced level using expert clinical skills, critical judgements & knowledge to deliver appropriate and safe care.
  • To assess, triage, diagnose and treat patients face to face accordingly, performing specialist assessment of their needs and make referrals as necessary.
  • To request diagnostic investigations and interpret within agreed protocols e.g x-ray, blood tests and scans.
  • To clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective and plan clinical care accordingly.
  • As an independent prescriber, to review and prescribe medication that is appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with latest evidence-based practice, national and practice protocols.

Job responsibilities

  • To deliver high quality, compassionate care and treatment to patients with a focus on promoting health, self-care and independence using a personalised and holistic care approach.
  • To contribute to local and national practice targets e.g QOF and Prescribing incentive scheme.
  • To use Arden’s templates to ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patient’s records.
