Dr Gerry Robins trained in Newcastle upon Tyne and graduated in 1995. He undertook specialist gastrointestinal training in Yorkshire and completed his Doctor of Medicine in the electrogenic causes of diarrhoea. Dr Robins worked with Professor Peter Howdle in Leeds for many years and has had an active clinical interest in coeliac disease for over 20 years. He has been a Consultant Gastroenterologist in York since 2008 and has supported Coeliac UK as a member of its Health Advisory Council since 2005.
