Colne Valley PCN is seeking a motivated and committed Advance Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team on a full-time basis. The role will be based at The Pump House Surgery in Earls Colne.

The successful candidate will be employed by the PCN and work within a supportive, forward-thinking practice environment. You will collaborate closely with experienced clinical teams and work under the supervision of GP Partners within your host surgery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute, minor, and chronic illnesses
  • Prescribe and review medications in line with prescribing qualifications
  • Undertake long-term condition reviews
  • Conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations
  • Processing Online Triage requests
  • Carry out home visits where appropriate
  • Deliver high standards of patient-centred care
  • Work within professional boundaries and seek support when required
  • Utilise your prescribing qualification and primary care experience effectively

About the Candidate

Essential (PCN DES 2026/27 Requirements):
Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Qualification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or equivalent level practice
  • Evidence of working at Level 7 (Master’s level) in Advanced Clinical Practice or working towards this
  • Independent Prescriber qualification (V300)
  • Demonstrable experience in primary care or general practice setting
  • Ability to work autonomously while recognising scope of practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development aligned to advanced practice

Desirable (not essential):

  • Specialist interest in women’s health and family planning
