The New Surgery/Queens Park Surgery is looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 6 months.
Hours negotiable.
Start date: asap.
Duties will include;
- Routine nursing care
- Cervical screening (smears)
- Immunisations and vaccinations (adult and childhood)
- NHS health checks
- ECGs and other basic diagnostic tests.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide advice on general health, wellbeing, and disease prevention
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices (e.g. smoking cessation, weight management)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Use clinical systems to document consultations and care plans
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Ensure safe storage and handling of vaccines and medications
