Dispenser

Little Waltham and Great Notley Surgery has an opportunity for a dispenser to join our busy pharmacy team, working across both our sites, at the heart of our patient care service. This position is offered on a part-time basis for 25 hours per week. The main responsibilities of the role:

• Process all relevant prescriptions and repeat prescriptions as authorised by GPs and prescribing nurses
• Collect all due prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient
• Process hospital letters
• Process dossette boxes
• Manage ordering stock and stock control
• Answer and deal with dispensary phone enquiries
• Monitor patients’ exemption status
• Sort and dispose of unwanted/returned medication
• Any other duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the dispensary and surgery as directed by the either the dispensary manager or practice manager
