We are looking for a motivated and reliable Dispenser to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team at Blackwater Medical Centre. The vacancy is due to a pending retirement.

About the Role
The successful candidate will work as part of our busy dispensary team, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients. You will work in close collaboration with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to provide an excellent service.
The position is for 28 hours per week with the shift pattern as: Monday 9 – 1pm, Wednesday 8.30 – 5.30pm, Thursday 8.30 – 5.30pm and Friday 9.30 – 6.30pm.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Providing advice and support to patients regarding their medication
- Managing repeat prescriptions
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Stock control and ordering of medication
- Accuracy checking dispensed medication
- Ensuring optimisation of medication
- Ensuring compliance with practice policies and dispensing regulations
About You
- Previous dispensing experience would be an preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A flexible and positive approach to work
