The Role
As a Medical Administrator, you will be an integral member of our administrative team, providing essential support to both patients and clinicians.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Processing housing, benefits, and supporting letters
Managing insurance and medical report requests
Completing, monitoring, and recording audit outcomes
Monitoring and responding to surgery email accounts
Creating, facilitating, and tracking patient referrals
Processing referral outcomes in line with practice policies
Reviewing and triaging administrative requests received through our online platform
Responding to tasks in accordance with practice procedures
Providing occasional reception cover during staff annual leave and sickness
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment.
You will have:
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
A professional and friendly telephone manner
Strong IT and computer literacy skills
The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and GDPR compliance
A positive team-focused approach
Essential Proven Customer Service experience
Desirable:
Previous General Practice experience
Knowledge of SystmOne (Training will be provided for the successful candidate.)
Working Hours – 30 hours per week
Monday to Friday 7.5-hour shifts over 4 working days, Monthly rota allocation
Candidates must be available to work during surgery opening hours of 8:00am to 6:30pm
