Chelmer Medical Partnership is looking for a part-time, experienced Prescription Clerk for 26 hours per week to join our collaborative and friendly prescribing team.
Operating across three sites in Chelmsford – Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery, and Tennyson House Surgery, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and safely manage and process repeat medication requests.
- Act as a key liaison between patients, clinicians, and community pharmacies.
- Provide clear, appropriate advice and education to patients regarding their prescriptions.
- Ensure the practice’s prescription process remains safe, efficient, and aligned with current protocols.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar prescription or healthcare administrative role, excellent IT proficiency and a warm, professional telephone manner, the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, and a willingness to cover extra hours to support the team during staff sickness or holiday periods.
Previous experience with the SystmOne clinical system is desirable.
