Our mission is to provide kind, personal and trusted healthcare, taking the time to listen, understand and support every patient.
We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary who shares our commitment to excellent patient care. Working remotely, you will play an important role in ensuring each patient’s journey is smooth, efficient and reassuring, from preparing clinical correspondence to coordinating referrals and communicating with other healthcare professionals.
This is an ideal opportunity for an organised and conscientious medical secretary who enjoys working independently while remaining a valued part of a close-knit, supportive team.
Your responsibilities
• Audio and copy typing clinical letters, referral letters and medical reports
• Managing referrals and liaising with hospitals, consultants and other medical secretaries
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records using Semble
• Responding professionally and sensitively to patient and clinician enquiries
• Helping to ensure that every patient receives a seamless and personal service
• Providing general administrative support to our clinical team as required
About you
You will have:
• Previous medical secretarial experience—essential
• Excellent audio typing, written communication and administrative skills
• A warm, professional and patient-focused approach
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
• Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential medical information
• The confidence to work independently from home while communicating closely with the wider team
Experience using Semble is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
What we offer
• Fully remote working
• Three days a week (Monday, Friday and your pick of one day during the week)
• Part-time hours of 12–20 hours per week
• Laptop and audio-typing software provided
• Pension scheme
• Holiday allowance
• Ongoing training and support
• A friendly and appreciative working environment
• The opportunity to become an important part of a growing, patient-focused private practice
If you are an experienced Medical Secretary looking for a flexible role in a supportive practice where your contribution will be genuinely valued, we would love to hear from you.
