In response to the many requests EQUIP has received to deliver a Mental Health focused study day, we are pleased to be able to offer you the chance to join us for this event.

The programme has been designed to cover some of the most common mental health conditions that primary care staff are presented with.  It is hoped that by the end of this event delegates will have gained a better understanding of the subject areas and also be more aware of the support services that are available to patients.

Key Speakers:

  • Dr Dominique Thompson -Award-winning GP, Health & Wellbeing Consultant –Young People’s mental health, The talk will cover what it means to be a teen, what is happening in teen mental health, including the impact of COVID, why there has been a change in the last few years, what we can all watch out for, what we can do to help, and useful resources.
  • Dr Lee DavidBalancing Wellbeing in Health Professionals, This interactive and practical session will introduce a simple yet powerful ‘three circles’ model to promote resilience and resilience, and find ways to adapt and cope with the stresses and emotional challenges we have all been facing during the pandemic and beyond.  This includes finding ways to balance our sense of Threat, Drive and Self-care.  It will include lots of practical tips for improving low mood, managing anxiety, stress and burnout, and finding ways to destress and wind-down.

  • Dr Pavel Fridrich – Ramsey Healthcare – Depression and Anti-depressantsthe lecture will provide a summary of pharmacological approaches to the treatment of depressive disorder.
  • Dr Abu Abraham – Priory Hospital Chelmsford – Anxiety
  • Dr Rana MoharamEating Disorders, the lecture aims to cover the main presentations of eating disorders and some of the complications you might encounter in your practice. It would also cover the management of eating disorders both from a medical and psychological perspective.
  • Dr Rupesh AdimulamADHD/Autism
  • Plus two Q & A sessions

This event will be streamed live online but the whole day will be recorded, so if you cannot join us on the day, it will be available on ‘catch up’ for 1 month after the event
