Event Details

This 2 and half-day course is aimed at practice staff who have experience of audit, or their role will be supporting their practice/PCN as an Quality Improvement and Audit Lead.

The course will enable practice staff with audit experience to implement and support quality improvement and clinical audit across practices and PCN supporting the delivery of safe, good clinical care, care pathways and improving the patient experience.

The course is over a 3-month period and the delegate will be expected to complete either a quality improvement project and/or a clinical audit which their organisation and patients will benefit from.

 

The course content will cover:

  • Understand Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement methods and how both are connected
  • Understanding the process for looking at documented evidence in your practice
  • Identifying what is working and what is unsustainable
  • The importance of primary prevention and management
  • Validating and maintaining Registers
  • Working with the team, implementing change
  • Applying a systematic approach
  • Interpreting guidance and criteria
  • Complete an audit or a Quality Improvement project, showing knowledge of the subject selected and outcomes
