Event Details
This CPD accredited training has been designed for healthcare professionals who will be involved with interpreting spirometry and FeNO (fractional exhaled nitric oxide) tests to confirm a diagnoses of COPD, asthma or both. It includes the use of peak flow monitoring for detecting airflow limitation during the pandemic of COVID 19 and looks at case studies.
Interpretation is usually done by Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners or Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
The training can be used to go on to complete a competency assessment in interpreting spirometry with the Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP) as recommended by NHS England to be then added to the National Register however this is not mandatory.
There will be an assessment with this training to interpret some case studies.
