About the role
We are a friendly, busy rural GP Practice looking for a part-time/full-time experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Prescriber to join our clinical team, working across our two sites: Tillingham Medical Centre and Maylandsea Medical Centre.
The role involves:
• Delivering a high standard of patient care as a Practice Nurse in general practice.
• Utilising autonomous clinical skills and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
• Managing a clinical caseload, addressing presenting patients’ needs in a primary care setting.
• Ensuring the highest standards of care are provided for patients.
About the candidate
Knowledge
• Advanced clinical practice skills Management of patients with long-term conditions
• Management of patients with complex needs
• Clinical examination skills
• Clinical review experience in asthma, COPD, diabetes would be desirable but not essential
Skills
• Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-directed practitioner
• Highly motivated
• Ability to work with clinical and administrative staff within the practice
• Leadership and mentorship clinical setting
• Experience of SystmOne would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
Experience
• 2 years post qualification experience in general practice setting or equivalent
• Nurse-led management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries
• Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications
• Nurse prescribing
• Recent primary and community nursing experience would be desirable but not essential
Qualifications
• NMC registration and active PIN
• NMC requirements for advanced practice nurse

We are a training practice serving a patient population of 5,500 patients. We operate a SystmOne clinical system and have a history of excellent QOF achievement and a CQC rating of outstanding across all domains. Our clinical team comprises of 2 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 GP trainees, 3 ANPs, 3 practice nurses and 1 associated trainee nurse.
