Dengie Medical Partnership is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our CQC Outstanding two-site rural training practice, serving a growing list of over 6,000 patients across Tillingham and Maylandsea Medical Centres in Essex. We welcome applications from GPs at all career stages — two of our current salaried GPs trained with us and chose to stay, which we think speaks for itself.

What We Offer

  • CQC Outstanding rated practice — recognised for delivering exceptional care
  • Established RCGP-accredited GP training practice welcoming ST2 and ST3 trainees
  • A genuine learning and development culture — we actively support our nurses to achieve their prescribing qualifications
  • A well-established, stable clinical team: 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, a Associate Nurse Practitioner and a HCA
  • Paramedic practitioners and a true multidisciplinary team approach
  • Active and collaborative membership of the Dengie and South Woodham Ferrers Primary Care Network (PCN)
  • Technology-enabled practice using Accurx for clinical triage, Anima for document management, and SystmOne as our clinical system
  • Dispensing practice offering an important service to our rural population
  • Growing patient list of over 6,000 — a practice with energy and ambition
  • Manageable, well-supported workload with strong admin and clinical infrastructure

About the Role

  • Delivering face-to-face consultations, telephone triage, and home visits as required
  • Assessing and managing patients presenting with undifferentiated and complex conditions
  • Making evidence-based, autonomous clinical decisions
  • Leading and contributing to chronic disease management and preventative care
  • Managing prescriptions, referrals, and clinical correspondence
  • Contributing to QOF, clinical audits, and enhanced services
  • Supporting and mentoring GP trainees and nursing colleagues
  • Participating in regular clinical meetings and in-house teaching sessions

About You

  • Fully qualified GP with full GMC registration and on the NHSE Medical Performers List
  • Current annual appraisal and appropriate medical indemnity insurance
  • Experience in chronic disease management, primary prevention, and screening
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach
  • Commitment to lifelong learning, audit, and evidence-based practice
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team

About Dengie Medical Partnership

We are a busy, well-organised rural training practice across two sites on the Dengie Peninsula in Essex. As an RCGP-accredited training practice we take pride in developing the next generation of GPs, and our active PCN membership and MDT — including paramedic practitioners and ANPs — means genuinely collaborative working. Accurx and Anima have transformed how we manage triage and document workflows, and our CQC Outstanding rating reflects the standards we hold ourselves to for our patients and our team.
